Basically British Catering strives to provide you with outstanding food at a price to match your budget. Chef/Owner Fariba "Fab" Goldberg brings more than 20 years of experience and a flare for finding unique menu items for all occasions. Having run the Basically British Tea Room for nearly two decades, as well as serving stints as the chef on Rhode Island-based yachts, Fab is excited to finally be able to focus her attentions purely on catering. Fab was raised in the UK and believes in a touch of class mixed with a healthy dose of the eccentric. Fab loves a challenge! Let her help you plan your event.

Q: What happened to Basically British Tea Room? I loved that place!

A: Regrettably, a landlord dispute forced Fab to close the doors of her beloved Tea Room in 2009. However she remains committed to providing great food and a great experience for her customers. Now she can bring that experience to you.

Q: How much do you charge?

A: Basically British Catering can prepare a menu to match your budget. Our catered meals generally average between $20 and $40 per person, depending on size of the event and the specific menu items desired. We can go as low as $10 per person for some events. See the Sample Menu section for more information.

Q: What kind of events do you do?

A: We are a full-service catering/event-planning company. Basically British Catering can cater or plan your wedding, party, Bar/Bat Mitzvah, or any other important celebration.
